Kathy Orr
Welcome

If you live anywhere near Philadelphia PA, chances are you live in the Delaware Watershed. A watershed is a geographical feature on the landscape where water collects and then drains to a common water body (like a stream, bay, wetland). Anything that you put on the land (fertilizers, pesticides, oil, etc.) can be picked up by rainfall and carried into our streams. Forests and trees provide many benefits, including capturing these pollutants before they enter our streams. And our coasts serve as an important interface between land and water and between fresh and salt water.

Thanks to a partnership with EPA Region III, USDA Forest Service, Philadelphia Water Department, National Environmental Education and Training Foundation and StormCenter Communications, our CBS3 Clean Water Project is now available here at KYW-TV.

We hope that you enjoy this site and learn more about watersheds, forests and coastlines and what you can do to protect them.
